master of your domain Are you master of your domain? Do you even know who is listed as the owner of your domain? If you don’t, and especially if your domain is connected to your business, you owe it to yourself, and your business, to find out this information.

A lot of unscrupulous web designers will list themselves as contacts for domains that their clients actually own. Even if the web designer has purchased the domain on behalf of the client, this is wrong. There are several fields of information that can be pulled up when you do a WHOIS lookup. activeCollab Project Management Software

I’ve lived with activeCollab 2.0 Beta (Corporate version) for a few weeks now and I have to say that I really love the new features. Seems like the devs have thought of everything a web design shop might need in order to manage its projects and streamline the process as much as possible.

Among the new features for 2.0 are Incoming Mail, which captures email from a specific email address or addresses that you specify enabling you to add them to a ticket or project (this helps alleviate the problem of clients responding by email to aC notifications!); Public Submit, which lets your site users send you an email form right from your web site which is dumped into the Project you specify in aC where it can be acted upon in any number of ways; Global Documents, perfect for company documents and policies; separate from documents and files that you might upload on a per-project basis; and improvements to the Pages, Tasks and Checklists modules, and lots of other subtle, under-the-hood features.
